All smaller printers will have some installation issues from time to time, and for those that aren’t familiar with printers in general, it can be a pain. But it doesn’t have to be and the Dell S2500 printer using Dell S2500 Printer Toner Cartridge is one of the easiest printers out to install new memory cards, clear paper jams, and troubleshoot if you need to. Check out these tips that can easily help you out.

Optional Drawer Installation: If you need to add another drawer or simply want to install the 500-page drawer, it is actually something really easy to do. Turn off any power source to the printer, ensure that the printer is completely unplugged from the network that it is on, and make sure that the cord is unplugged from the power supply as well. Once it’s disconnected, follow the instructions that came with the drawer you have purchased and your printer will be ready to go.

Memory Card Installation: When you decide that you need a memory card for the Dell S2500 printer, it’s really easy to find one and install it. You need to get a printer memory card or a flash memory card, and you need to make sure that it has 100-pin connectors. Be careful with these cards as they can easily be damaged by the least bit of static electricity, so you want to touch something metal before you touch the card. Take the card out of the packaging, open up the printer by the latches on the sides, and push the memory card firmly into place. You should feel it “snap”. And, that is it. Close the cover and you are done.

Raise the Paper Rest: This is probably the easiest thing to do on the Dell printer. Simply pull the paper rest out and forward to the height that you want and you are done. You can adjust the paper rest height so that papers don’t fall to the floor if multiple jobs are completed at once and the papers stack up too high.

Operator Panel Overlay: This is basically the guide around the buttons on the front of the printer. This is in English, and those that prefer it in another language can easily change this to fit their needs. There are several different overlays that you can change out really easily. Simply choose the right overlay you need, peel the backing off, and place it in line with the holes for the buttons on the panel. Press into place and you are done.

Side Cover Removal: If your Dell S2500 printer jams, or when you need to change out the S2500 Toner, you want to remove this.  To do so, simply open the top front panel, open the multipurpose panel, and slide the side cover off the back. You will then have access to the cartridges, paper jams, or even memory cards.

Removing the Shield: On the Dell S2500 printer, you will find the shield under the side cover that you will probably have to remove every now and then. You need to remove the side cover as explained above, then loosen the screws that you find there, there should be six. Do not take them completely off. Now, you need to slide the cover toward the left until the loosened screws fit into keyholes there. You will feel it stop and then you’ll be able to pull the shield off.

Now that you know these easy to do, normal installation areas that you will come up against with a Dell S2500 printer, you can see that this is an easy printer to own and use. When compared to other larger printers, S2500 printer is extremely user friendly when it comes to any type of installation or paper jam.
