There has been a surge in the number of netbooks being sold these days. For good reasons, too. They cost a lot less, they are portable unlike any other laptop and they are convenient to carry around. They are perfect for someone who travels often, or someone who needs to do basic word processing. If you want to surf the web, they are fine for that too. They are not meant for gaming or for other similar purposes.
Netbooks’ screen size is on the smaller side. Usually, they are around 10’’ - 11’’, measured diagonally. But that’s the beauty of refurbished netbooks for sale. The size is perfect for those who want portability however, you can’t write code, or work with spreadsheets of course.
Because the size of the netbook is smaller, other specifications aren’t too good either. RAM is generally on the lower side. The processor is an Intel Atom processor which is good enough for a netbook but not for laptops. Of course, there are quite a few other problems too. You won’t get a DVD drive
Is a netbook a bad buy then? Not really. It depends on what you need. If you want high-end computing, netbook isn’t an option of course. If you want to do basic tasks, well, netbook is perfect.

If you’re on a shoestring budget, refurbished netbooks may fit the bill. You can get these for around $200.
